Imagined by Sophie Ashby, founder and creative director of Studio Ashby and Sister by Studio Ashby, each of the Jocasta fabrics carries its own unique texture, palette and pattern, taking shape over years of travel across Africa, Asia and Europe. Highlights of the collection include Disa, an intricate design woven on jacquard looms, inspired by the hardy beauty of the orchids found growing on Table Mountain in South Africa; Afua, an arresting range which takes its cues from Sophie’s husband Charlie Casely-Hayford’s Ghanaian heritage, and more.
The Jocasta Collection pays homage to Jocasta Innes and her former home in Spitalfields, a glorious Georgian-era house that Sophie shared with her family and where the collection was first conceived. Known for her dedication to reclaiming past treasures and trinkets, the collection pays tribute to Innes’ creative legacy and spirit, a love letter of sorts to the woman who helped inspire its beginnings.
